A Day in the Life of...Me.

Three trails converge at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge.  The Yellow, Red and Blue trails take you from high ground to swamp, a favorite place of the deer.

Visitors to Hirundo often see deer, other animals, wildflowers and several varieties of birds.

People who want to take a quiet walk or photograph the birds and wildflowers are welcome to enjoy Hirundo.

Come visit - it’s Maine’s best kept secret!

The Hirundo Wildlife Trust maintains the Hirundo Wildlife Refuge as a sanctuary to preserve and protect wildlife and habitats. The Trust makes the Refuge available as a living laboratory for education and research, and to promote the public’s appreciation of Nature.

Until one has loved an animal, part of one’s soul remains unawakened.
